It’s June! Here are some jobs you can be doing in the garden with the kids this month:-
– Sow early carrots to crop in early autumn;
– Sow winter salad leaves;
– Thin out seedlings sown outdoors;
– Plant chitted new potatoes in large tubs;
– Plant out plants from earlier sowings once they are large enough including courgettes, pumpkins and squashes;
– Water newly planted seedlings, salads and vegetables in dry spells;
– Harvest lettuce, radish and your first carrots, overwinter onions, spring sown peas and early potatoes;
